I tell everyone that if my high school art teacher Pat Drew had told me to jump off a bridge, I’d do it. Miss Drew (as I knew her) was the single most influential person in my life. She saw my potential and encouraged me every day. She gave me a path to pursue for my future, and I followed it to the letter. Her advice about attending Young Harris College to major in Fine Arts led me to meet my husband, John Denton, who also enrolled. John has also been an inspiration and encouraging significant development in my life. He is a walking encyclopedia of art and pottery and has a sought after collection of it. He has a keen eye for what is good, great, and bad in all media of art, and I value his honest input on everything I make. I have created my own family from friends who have forever been there for me along the way. You know who you are, and you know how much I love you.
